Celebrate femininity & creativity in this special mixed-media workshop designed exclusively for women!

Using a variety of art materials, both traditional and nontraditional, students will be guided through various creative exercises aimed to broaden the unique inner-art dialogue and art process of the individual. This workshop’s theme and exercises will be inspired by the creative energy of the feminine. Within the creative womb of this class, students will birth exquisite pieces of art as they submerse themselves in the creative process. Students can expect to be exposed to a variety of art techniques in mixed media and found materials assemblage. By the end of this workshop each student will have nurtured and developed an innovative piece of 2D work that embodies the feminine spirit of creation.

What is Mutual Muses?

Mutual Muses is an annual spring exDivine Awakening_Tessa D'Agostino_24inx48in_mixed media-April 2014-Cultural Center of Cape Codhibit held in all four Cultural Center galleries. Half of the participants are writers (both prose and poetry this year) and half are visual artists (painters, sculptors, fabric and glass artists, etc.). Writers are randomly assigned an image from which they will draw inspiration, and visual artists are randomly assigned a poem or paragraph that will inspire them.

Above is a piece of my work currently being used as inspiration for a poem soon to be… At right is a mixed media piece I created inspired by a poem I received.
