Sculpture and Installation are my favorite art forms. I primarily work with found materials with a specialization in natural assemblage and construction building. I do however include man made materials in almost all my work..after all human evolution is an integrated part of our natural world and I tend to comment on this very subject conceptually through the work itself. Some of my work becomes outdoor installations that are photographically documented as they become one with the land while others become a long term adoration in the landscape or a client’s home garden, while others become indoor table top, wall or even ceiling sculptures. My work primarily delves into concepts of transitions and cycles connecting to time, growth, decay and rebirth with a heavy emphasis on evolving human/nature relationships.
Because the sculptural forms I work in often rely on a series of photographs to depict their purpose, concept and/or their relationships to a specific environment, I created a collection of sculpture work within the side bar under the “Sculpture” header. The slide show above gives a general overview of various work over the years.
